Because it is a Hybrid-Electric car it's range is not limited by it's battery pack. The on-board generator can charge it up as it drives along.

It is a bit similar to the Toyota Prius (a 4 seater hybrid-electric passenger car now on sale in Japan - they sell 3,000 per month). The Toyota Prius uses only 3.6 litres of petrol per 100 km compared to the Corolla: 10L per 100Km and the Commodore: 16L per 100km. The Prius gets 1500km (yes, 1500!) to one tank (standard 55L) of petrol.

I have not got it registered yet, as I am recouperating (financially) from buying a house. I have not had it up to it's top speed yet. I cannot say that I drove it at speeds in excess of 90km/h around the block while it was unregistered because I could get in trouble ;-)

I normally do not use the gearbox and just take off in 4th. It spins it's little wheels in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears. 1st is very jerky.

Considering that Mighty Boys don't have power assisted brakes the brakes work really well!

Simon would be interested in buying a fiberglass canopy, if any one knows of one for sale.
